I read an article today regarding small businesses taking advantage of Facebook Check-in. Businesses basically ask their customers to check-in on Facebook to receive special discounts and offers. (Please see the attached screen grab)
The befit for the consumer is that they can instantly redeem in store discounts and offers by flashing their phone, customers can read comments friends leave about the place they’re in (which might help them reach decisions on whether or not to visit or stay in that place). I think this an interesting demonstration of how this relatively new feature is quickly evolving in the market place! -
